Establishes inspection methodology that conforms with the minimum requirements of 49 CFR 180.40(i), and illustrates one method of conducting a thickness test on a cargo tank vessel. This method meets the minimum requirement of the regulation. Other methods of conducting thickness testing may be equally acceptable.
