This Technical Bulletin is intended to address pressure hazards on cargo tanks. Air pressure is typically
applied to cargo tanks to aid in the unloading process of heavy products off the vessel. Operators should
be aware of the dangers associated with pressure in and around the vessel, the piping, and any device
connected to the vapor space on the vessel.
